David Stern must be out of his mind if he thinks women will be playing in the NBA within the next 10 years. This old man is off his rocker and I feel it might be a good idea to begin a legitimate analysis of whether we want this particular individual to have this much control over a sport in which we all love. 

David Stern said in an interview with Sports Illustrated he believes women could be playing in the NBA within the next 10 years. Before you all think I'm about to post "there's no crying in basketball" I'd like to say I'm in good company. LeBron James, doesn't see what Stern is talking about either. He even brought up the idea that it's just around the corner and that he would still be in the league and playing strong.

Candace Parker agrees with LeBron and brought up the idea that if it were to happen it would just be because they wanted to prove it were possible. As for the idea to incorporate the NBA or god forbid kill the WNBA and just merge the two leagues, Stern must be hiding something. We see this in politics. You want to hide something, you go and make sure somebody else does or says something really stupid so we stop paying attention for a couple days and they go off and make deals with the devil or whatever it is they do.

Though, Candace Parker's brother Anthony has a few words about this situation himself.

“First of all, I don’t see why, other than to say a woman can do it,” he said. “But for long term? No way. My sister is a good player and has great skill, but as far as making an NBA roster? No. She’s 6-4, which is the average height of a shooting guard. I’m never going to say never.

“I just hope I live to see it.”
