Kobe and Cabbie

Seriously I don't know how many interviewers get close to Kobe, but I highly doubt they get as close as this dude does. He is one of the more unique interviewers out there and he has some pretty friggin hilarious interviews with superstars. There have been a number of interviews between the two, and the most recent one has Cabbie flying in a helicopter with Kobe (among other things). I doubt its posted on youtube already, but I will share this one with you guys to get at taste for whats its like:

if you watch the numerous interviews prior to this one you will see that he expects this stuff, its kind of their thing. I doubt there are many things Cabbie does that really surprise Kobe anymore.

I don't think so man, he has relationships with a lot of stars. He does a lot of stuff with Nash, he has done a few hilarious interviews with Wade, one where they talk about doing a movie together. He also does a lot of stuff with nhl players. The guy just does a helluva job of developing relationships with elite athletes.

He always does some really good stuff at the nba all-star game. There is one interview where he asks practically all the nba superstars to be his best man and he even has a written statement for them to read.

a while ago i posted the best man one on this site it was funny. his other all-star game ones are good there are bunch from every league.
i recently watched his top 25 basketball interviews and they are pretty funny also the ones from last season championship games were good. cabbies a funny dude.

i thinke very athlete seems to paly along except lebron i ahvent really seen a faunny lebron one but everyone else seems to enjoy his wierdness

yeah lebron comes off as really lame when cabbie tries to interview him. I'm not really sure why lebron is such a marketable product, I find his personality to be very scripted and safe, aka phoney.

i agree completely with that it comes off as extremley phoney.
Kobe adn Wade to me have the same thing going for them the "scripted personnality"thing.
and there two dudes who have great interviews with cabbie, you would think lebron would have those too, i dont understand why not either.
