Pat Riley and Dwyane Wade Hope to Bring Lamar Odom to Miami

Pat Riley and Dwyane Wade flew in to Los Angeles in hopes to bring back Lamar Odom. Earlier in the week we reported that the LA Lakers had initially struck a deal to re-sign Lamar Odom but the former championship coach and all-star are hoping to make a 1-2 punch that would help the Miami Heat become championship contenders once again.

Miami Heat resign Jamaal Magloire

MIAMI (AP) -- Reserve Jamaal Magloire has re-signed with the Miami Heat, giving the team four centers under contract.

Restricted free-agent center Joel Anthony re-signed Monday. The Heat also have starter Jermaine O'Neal and seldom-used Mark Blount.

Heat offer 5year/$35mill to Odom

Lamar Odom could sign a five-year deal with the Heat worth all of the team's mid-level exception, according to sources close to the process.

The deal would be worth $34 million and could include an option for Odom to hit the free agent market again in three year's time.

The Lakers possess Odom's Bird rights, which means that the Heat can't match the $9 million annual salary that Los Angeles offered prior to the team's decision to retract the offer.
